Do you want to give back to your community while making new friends? Silicon Valley Volunteers is an organization that combines both aspirations. The organization is designed to help people find opportunities to volunteer in their local community while meeting others with similar interests. Silicon Valley Volunteers focuses on providing opportunities that fit into the busy schedules of professionals. Many opportunities listed on the site are in the evenings or weekends.

Paddle4Good Event
Shoreline Lake Events, 3160 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, Mountain View, CA, USWe're helping out Paddle4Good again!
You'll be paired with a buddy with special needs and enjoy activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, pedal boating, lawn games, and more. No prior experience is necessary!
This is a fun & rewarding event where you'll have the opportunity to create a priceless moment for these kids, helping them build confidence & self-esteem while introducing them to these super fun activities.
Come join us for a day of fun, connection, and making a difference!

- T-shirts, coffee, snacks, & lunch (not sure if there will be a vegetarian option. Sorry. We can head to a restaurant afterward if interested.)

The basic schedule:
- 8-9am – event setup & volunteer safety orientations
- 9-9:30am – participant registration / welcome & safety orientation
- 10am-12pm – guided water activities (kayaking, SUP, peddle boats) & lawn games
- 12pm-12:30pm lunch (pizza)
- 12:30-1pm – awards ceremony & participant goodbye
- 1pm-1:30pm – event teardown
**And as always, please arrive early or on time and stay for the ENTIRE shift.
***Please do not bring valuables. They do not have a secure place for volunteers to leave belongings.NOTE: If you would like to bring a guest/friend, please have them sign up with their own account through Meetup. SVV events are for adults 18 years old and over only. By RSVP’ing to this event, you are agreeing to Silicon Valley Volunteers’ waiver policy.
