About us
Welcome to the Silver and 60+ Exploring New Things Meetup group! If you're looking to step out of your comfort zone, try new activities, and make new friends, then this is the group for you. From urban walks, to art exhibits, social lunches, coffees, learning photography, helping animal rescue organizations, to pre-arranged tours of facilities, we will expand our horizons together. Age is just a number, and we believe there is no limit to exploring new interests and opportunities. So come join us, meet like-minded individuals, and keep learning and growing with us. There is not a requirement to be single, married people may join us as well.

Our group was started on Sept. 5th, 2024. We have enjoyed our outings, and there will be more coming soon with Fall approaching. If you would like to organize some events that interest you, OR if you are willing to be the select host of an event you are going to attend, please let me know and I can make you an assistant organizer. We are glad you are here! Let's have some fun.
*If an event only has 1, 2, or 3 people sign up, this event may be cancelled at the hosts discretion. It is best to be signed up by 8 p.m. the day before an event to avoid confusion.
•• THERE IS AN ANNUAL FEE OF $12 ($1/MONTH). This is to cover the "Organizer" membership costs and if there is overage, it will go towards my time when Organizing the events. If you feel this is too outrageous, that is okay, you are entitled to your opinions. It takes quite a bit of commitment and time to hold an event.

Dog Park Outing

We are going to test hanging out with our dogs as a gathering on Sept. 13th, 2026 @ Brookhaven Dog Park. It is a very large dog park.

Park Description
Brookhaven Park, located behind the DeKalb Services Center, recently underwent a complete transformation. The park now features a brand-new playground, updated pavilions, and a refreshed off-leash dog park. There is are restrooms and a separate children's playground.We do not have a permit for an event, we are just meeting there. So, no glass bottles, no alcohol, etc. All Brookhaven GA park rules apply.
Only nice dogs are invited to keep it stress-free.
There are picnic tables at this dog park if you want to bring a snack (just remember that there will be dogs begging for your snack.)
