Besides the impressive mountains of the Himalayas, Nepal also has a lowland area in the south. This is where you can find Chitwan National Park. The park boasts diverse forests and grasslands and, because of that, a majority of the wild animals in Nepal can be spotted exactly here.
The variety of safari tours in Chitwan National Park gives a completely different experience of Nepal than the trekking trips that the country is so famous for.

Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
It is Nepal’s first national park & a premier UNESCO Site renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and rich subtropical wilderness; it offers an unparalleled blend of adventure and biodiversity. This park stands as one of Asia's finest wildlife sanctuaries. It is celebrated globally for saving the endangered One-Horned Rhinoceros and providing a critical sanctuary for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. What makes Chitwan truly amazing is how wild and authentic it still feels.
Animal & wildlife enthusiasts: Read here => Wild Animals Abound in Nepal: Wildlife of Chitwan
The ultimate must-do experiences include tracking rare wildlife via jeep or walking safaris, canoeing down the Rapti River, and immersing yourself in the rich culture of the indigenous Tharu community.
The best time to visit Chitwan National Park depends on what kind of experience you’re looking for, but generally, the dry season from October to March is ideal. During these months, the weather is nice, the skies are clear, and the chances of spotting wildlife are much higher since animals gather around water sources. This is also the most comfortable period for jungle walks and canoe rides, with daytime temperatures hovering around 25°C.

One-horned rhinoceroses roam the streets: If they are out again - what? Yes! One-horned rhinoceroses frequently roam freely through the streets of 2 towns directly adjacent to Chitwan National Park in Nepal. Conservation Success: Nepal’s strict anti-poaching measures successfully revived the regional rhino population from fewer than 100 in the 1960s to over 750.

Weather: In February, Chitwan experiences warm, pleasant daytime temperatures averaging around 25°C to 26°C, while nights and early mornings remain cool, dropping to roughly 8°C to 10°C. Because Chitwan sits at a much lower altitude than Pokhara or Kathmandu, its winters are noticeably milder, making February one of the most comfortable months of the year for outdoor activities.

Gateway to the Himalayas - Pokhara
Pokhara, Nepal's famous lakeside city, is widely celebrated as the ultimate gateway to the Himalayas - directly referencing the iconic Annapurna massif visible from the city. It is the starting point for world-renowned adventures, including the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Poon Hill, and Mardi Himal treks.

Weather: In February, Pokhara experiences mild, comfortable daytime temperatures averaging around 20°C to 23°C, while nights drop to a chilly average of 8°C to 10°C.

Sarangkot Best Himalayas Sunrise - without the hike
Doing the sunrise in Sarangkot is an essential Pokhara experience because it offers unobstructed, panoramic views of the Himalayas lighting up in gold. Sitting at 1,600 meters, it provides a dramatic, front-row seat to one of nature's most stunning displays.

The World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa) is a massive Buddhist stupa perched on a hilltop on the southern ridge of Phewa Lake. It is an absolute must-do in Pokhara for its stunning panoramic views of the city, the lake, and the Annapurna mountain range

World Peace Pagoda
Located at an elevation of 1100 meters, the Pokhara Shanti Stupa is Nepal's first World Peace Pagoda. Shanti Stupa [means Peace Pagoda] in Pokhara has also become a tourist MUST-GO attraction. It provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa Lake. Peace Pagoda offers unobstructed, breathtaking views of the Annapurna range, on a clear day.

Who's suitable?
Active travellers! This is a NON-hiking trip; the only easy hike is 1-way 1.5 hours hike up to the Peace Pagoda. Anyone who can walk! Animal & wildlife enthusiasts, nature-lovers, snow-capped mountains worshippers, globe-trotters, etc. 👈

Need any domestic flights?
Yes, & included in the land cost. Though a brief 25-to-35-minute hop, it offers some of the most spectacular Himalayan scenery on earth. You'll glide past towering snow-capped giants like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. This is the famous "flight of your lifetime" [<= watch the video].
Flying between Pokhara and Kathmandu is highly recommended over driving because it saves you 6 to 9 hours of travel time and spares you from navigating severely bumpy, dusty, and winding mountain roads prone to traffic and construction delays.
