THIS GROUP IS FOR YOU - If you love & enjoy the great outdoors, adventure, fun and thrills in nature environment @ the same time enjoy meeting new friends with a common interest. Our activities are not focused on intensive exercise, it's rather on enjoying & appreciating soft adventures in nature. We always encourage teamwork & support in our activities, forging bonds & friendships that last along the way.

You don't have to be extremely fit or skilful outdoors to join us because our required stamina level is always @ "social level". We focus on activities that are fun in nature; exercise & muscle building is always secondary.

There are many places on our island, and nature activities were many busy Singaporeans like to do but don't know where & how to start. It's always fun to do as a group. However with a busy workload, usually no one have time to organise. Despite my busy work life, I like to organize & enjoy different activities with anyone out there.

This is so far the most active group! Just Come to one of our activities & you will be hooked and love to join next time.

Organiser: "It has been a very long time since we hiked this before COVID times. Pipeline sections are now all fenced up, and we are no longer able to walk on them physically. Let's go check them out".

We don't know how much the trails have changed, any new obstacles or challenges, any section blocked, etc.
Do be prepared for some exhilarating scrambling, wrong way, U-turn or change of route. In a few sections, you will be under the sun. But don't expect to hold an umbrella and walk. The pipeline trail is not a walk. If you're not sure you're up for such uncertain challenges, don't RSVP.

What's the plan?
The "Marsiling Pipeline Trek" is a hiking trail that follows the route of a buried water pipeline from Marsiling to the Bukit Panjang area, offering moderate difficulty with steep grassy slopes and varied landscapes, including open grasslands and forested patches.

We will cover at least 10-13 km of different trails of varied terrains. Some difficult sections where hands are needed besides your legs.

Part 1: Scenic walk through Chestnut Park.

Part 2: is the pipeline trail, a 7 KM trail full of unpaved paths, mini hills, and of course, the titular pipes themselves. Gloves will be needed.

Who is Suitable?
NOT for beginners. For regular walkers/hikers who are not afraid of the sun/rain. Pipeline trek is not a walk; it involves some difficult sections as it's not a straightforward trail.
Be prepared for the long distance of walking. There will not be any sweepers, so you are to keep pace with the group or find your way out.

Hiking attire & Gloves. At least 1.5 litres of water, sunblock, rain gear, sun protection accessories, snack/energy bars - lunch may be late.
Shoe: Wear comfortable hiking shoes [a few sections of pipeline].
Basic first-aid for cuts.

The Tatra Mountains are a mountain range within the Western Carpathian chain that forms a natural border between Slovakia and Poland. It was established as an official UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1955. The best time to hike the Tatra Mountains is from July to October when most trails are open. Sadly, this period is also the busiest time, and is completely overrun by tourists. May is a good time to visit, but some of the trails in the High Tatras may still be closed, and there is a chance you may end up with a bit of winter hiking. This is FUN!!

Yes! You can join the tour with “single room occupancy” by paying the single supplement. Please note our price quoted is for twin-sharing for those who joined as a pair. Alternatively, we can assist in matching you with another single traveller of the same gender. We are unable to guarantee the quality or character of your roommate. Join us to hike & explore this exciting night adventure where scorpions 🦂 are 99.9 % easily spotted under UV. With normal powerful torchlight, you still have challenges spotting them as the forest gets pitch dark.

With UV, there's no need to hunt for them high and low,🦂 as they are active at night and the UV will easily show you, even from a few meters away! 😱. We had ever found 7 of them on a single tree. When a special UV frequency light is used, every creature that fluorescence suddenly appears everywhere in a different colour. ❨as shown in the above & latest pic below❩.

Common creatures sighted were wild boars, mouse-deer, various weird-looking types of 🕷️🕸️, bats, giant ants, termites & moths etc. Bonuses are 🐍, sambar deer etc. Glowing mushrooms & fireflies have been spotted on this trail - with sharp eyes. Other than 🦂, many plants, and fungi also have fluorescence under UV like chlorophyll, lichens, carnivorous plants like pitchers etc.

Many arthropods (insects, spiders, and relatives) have a secret: they glow under ultraviolet light. Scorpions and some relatives produce a blue-green glow via fluorescence. Under ultraviolet light, molecules in their exoskeleton absorb and re-emit UV as visible light.

𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 is the production & emission of light by a living organism. It is a form of chemiluminescence. Bioluminescence occurs widely in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi, and microorganisms, including some bioluminescent bacteria, and terrestrial arthropods such as fireflies.

The most famous bioluminescent species on land are glowworms and fireflies.

What's the plan?
A very scenic sunset walk [no hike]
The Seletar Aerospace Park area features the scenic 0.8km Rower's Bay Park Connector and the Seletar West Park Connector, offering wide, picturesque paths for cycling and hiking. It provides views of Seletar Airport and connects to wider regional networks.
- Rower's Bay Park Connector: Features amenities like shelters, bicycle racks, and self-help repair stations.
- Seletar West Park Connector: Known for its scenic, wide, and flat path, making it ideal for leisure cycling, though some sections may be dark at night.
- Connectivity: It forms part of the larger northeastern cycling loop connecting to Yishun Dam, Jalan Kayu, and Sengkang/Punggol.
Nearby Points of Interest:
- Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP)
- Seletar Airport
- The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace Park (colonial bungalows, cafes, restaurants)
- Rower's Bay Reservoir
The latest and unpublished PCN is the highlight of this hike, 3 km [in / out] of trail with a reservoir on 1 side, a beautiful landscaped golf course on the other side. It is not fully connected, so a U-turn is needed; maybe this is the reason it is not published?

Anyone who can walk 12-14 km
