Where are we rolling?
😍 Dianchi Lake (Dian Lake)—nicknamed the "Sparkling Pearl Embedded in a Highland"—is a massive freshwater fault lake located at the southern edge of Kunming city centre. Sitting at an altitude of 1,886 metres, it is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province and the eighth largest in China. Best Time to Visit: Winter (Nov–Mar) is highly recommended to experience the migratory gull phenomenon. Sunset is spectacular year-round from either the Haigeng Dam or the top of Western Hills.

😍 Luoping County in Yunnan Province, China, transforms into a vast golden sea of over one million mu (66,667 hectares) of blooming rapeseed flowers every spring. Peak Blooming: Late February to early March.

• Jinji Hills 金鸡峰 (Jinjifeng): Famous karst peak clusters rising out of endless yellow fields, ideal for sunrise and sunset photography.
• Luosi Field (Screw Field): Circular, terraced fields in Niujie 牛街 Township that spiral like a screw.
• Jiulong Waterfalls 九龙瀑布: A stunning multi-tiered waterfall group located near the floral fields.

😍 The Shilin Karst Landscape—commonly known as the Stone Forest (Shilin)—is a spectacular collection of limestone formations. It is celebrated as the world's premier example of pinnacle karst topography. Since 2007, portions of the site have been protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the South China Karst umbrella.

😍 Fuxian Lake (Fuxian Hu) 抚仙湖 —often called "The Sapphire on the Plateau"—is a breathtaking body of water. It is celebrated as China's deepest highland freshwater lake (reaching a maximum depth of 155 meters) and is famous for its crystal-clear Grade I national-class water quality.
Cycling around Fuxian Lake is one of the most classic, picturesque, and beginner-friendly long-distance bike routes in Yunnan. The full loop offers a smooth mix of deep-blue lake views, traditional fishing villages, and quiet lakeside parks.

😍 Yilong Lake (Yilong Hu) 异龙湖 is one of Yunnan’s nine major plateau lakes. Compared to the massive loops of Erhai or Dianchi, cycling around Yilong Lake is a relaxed, scenic ride highly popular for its flat, custom-built ecological greenways, fields of summer lotus flowers, and ancient cultural villages.

4 MAR 🔆 Arrival Day ► SIN 一 KMG, Kunming 7am. Local market breakfast. Hotel: collect, test bike & ride ~20 km around Dianchi Lake on dedicated bike path. Welcome dinner.

5 MAR 🔆 Transfer to Luoping Rapeseed Farm area. 50 km ride through the flower farm and the famous Luosi Field (Screw Field).

6 MAR 🔆 Sunrise ride to Jinji Hills 金鸡峰. 60 km ride to Jiulong Waterfalls 九龙瀑布. Near Shilin Karst land formation.

7 MAR 🔆 Shilin Karst area 50 km ride with some ethic minority experience. Mix of road and street.

8 MAR 🔆 Visit ancient street, then 40 km ride to Yilong Lake (Yilong Hu) 异龙湖 on dedicated bike path.

9 MAR 🔆 50 km ride of Fuxian Lake (Fuxian Hu) 抚仙湖. Farewell dinner.

10 MAR 🔆 Lazy morning: Kunming Ancient Street shopping & local cuisine. Transfer to Airport
