ElasticON Singapore Meetup

Details
Join us for a meetup at our Singapore office on Monday, March 3rd, the night before ElasticON Singapore 2025. We'll have presentations, networking, pizza and refreshments.
We will also have the presence of our Founder and CTO, Shay Banon.
Meetup agenda:
17.00: Doors Open, join us for some food and a drink
17.30: Talk #1: Zero code change observability of GenAI applications
Adrian Cole, Principal Engineer @ Elastic
Abstract: Last year, we introduced Elastic Distributions of OpenTelemetry (EDOT), and many might wonder how that works. If that's you, attend this session which overviews how to get logs, metrics and traces from applications without any code change! We'll use EDOT to export telemetry from a tool calling LLM application written in Semantic Kernel (Python), Vercel AI (Node.js) and Spring AI (Java), which we'll view in Kibana. When you leave, you'll have a better sense of where EDOT fits in your observability story, and some interesting AI anecdotes.
18.00: Talk #2: Unlocking Semantic Search: An Introduction to Vector Search with Elasticsearch
Sergiu Bodiu, Cloud Technical Advisor - DevOps
Abstract: Vector search allows you to find items by their meaning, not just specific words. This is great for things like searching for similar images, recommending products, or matching text based on context. We'll explain how vectors represent data and how you can use them to discover related content in ways that simple searches can't. With Elasticsearch, you can set up a system where each piece of data has a "vector" that describes it. We'll show you how to create this setup, add your data, and then search for items that are similar to a given example. We'll use a straightforward example to show how this works, making it easy for developers to start using vector search to improve how they find and connect data.
18.20: Networking
19.00: Close
