• SwiftUI makes it easier than ever to build beautiful animations but creating smooth, continuous animations that run efficiently at 120 fps requires a deeper understanding of how SwiftUI renders and manages views.

In this talk, we’ll explore how to build a slow, infinite panning animation entirely in SwiftUI, and the challenges we solved around performance, memory usage, and GPU-efficient rendering to achieve fluid, production-ready results. We’ll also uncover a few lesser-known animation techniques that unlock surprisingly seamless transitions in real apps.

This session is perfect for developers who want to push SwiftUI beyond basic animations and create truly delightful, high-performance user experiences.

Amit Samant
Senior iOS Engineer at Rakuten
Amit Samant is an iOS Engineer and community leader, serving as an organiser of Swift Bengaluru and Swift Bharat. He has been building iOS apps with a strong focus on mobile platform engineering, app performance, and crafting polished UI animations.

Liu Linxuan, an immersive videographer who has built a native visionOS application for Apple Vision Pro for viewing Apple Immersive Video, Voola. He has shot amazing immersive video footage of live events including airplane flyovers, rocket launches, and dance concerts, and we'll have an opportunity to experience them ourselves!
