### Understanding and preventing dementia
with Prof. Feng Lei and hosted by Kamil Pabis
Join us for “Understanding and Preventing Dementia”, an evening conversation with Prof. Feng Lei, lead investigator of the Singapore Longitudinal Ageing Studies and a highly-cited dementia researcher. Prof. Feng’s work has shown that simple habits, like drinking tea daily, can significantly reduce cognitive decline by half generally, and up to 86% for genetically vulnerable individuals (APOE ε4 carriers). His research also explores nutrition, sleep, social engagement, and multimodal lifestyle interventions that build cognitive resilience, aligning with the 2024 Lancet Commission’s recommendations on lifelong risk reduction. Expect a clear and engaging overview of the latest findings, from flavonoid-rich diets and precision nutrition to emerging digital biomarkers of brain aging.
