Looker User Group (In-Person & Remote) #3 - June 2024

Looker User Groups are events open to all data enthusiasts. Talks will mainly focus on the Users' Experience with Looker. We also will receive regular updates from the Looker experts at the Google team itself on features and the Roadmap. However, you may expect presentations that will dive into data topics further upstream the data stack, as well as wider discussion around team enablement, strategy or data modeling.

🎤 Presentation 2: Building a Data Driven Enterpise with Looker - ONE's Framework for Success.

Synopsis: John will share their experience with the ambitious "Data Driven Enterprise" (DDE) initiative, a large-scale digital transformation journey that began a few years ago. John will delve into the key focus areas for DDE 2.0, the vision for the next stage of the data strategy. They'll also discuss the frameworks developed and the strategies used (and planned!) to leverage data effectively at scale.

Bio: John's 18 years in the container shipping industry have equipped him with a unique perspective that bridges the gap between business and technical teams. Starting with software development and transitioning to a business-focused role, he gained a well-rounded background that allows him to effectively contribute to his current role as Data CoE Lead.

Synopsis: Curious about the future of data analytics? Frances will dive into the integration of GenAI with Looker. We'll explore how GenAI is turning Looker into a supercharged AI-powered analytics platform with a solution walkthrough and live demo of a GenAI-powered data product.

Bio: Frances is a Customer Engineer for Cloud BI solutions at Google supporting customers across APAC. She has been supporting organizations across Greater China and South East Asia to drive data and digital transformation. She is passionate about solving business challenges by harnessing the power of data and technology innovations.
