"Python for Spectroscopy" by Rajan

Colour is an important attribute of any product and its measurement and faithful reproduction is essential. Goal of this “Tutorial” is to go through some basic concepts in colour measurement such as Spectral colours, Colour Space, Colour Matching, CIE Chromaticity Diagram. Using Jupyter notebook/python to capture raw spectra from a sensor and apply processing steps like baseline correction, smoothing, scaling, determine peaks, FWHM measurement using Python and finally use the data frame with the color-science python package to determine Chromaticity coordinates x,y of the light source.

Rajan is an industry veteran having worked for close to three decades in various roles from electronics design to business development in private and public sector companies in Singapore. An Engineer by education, he has had, in the course of this working career , wide exposure to electronics and semiconductor industry. He was a founding member of IEEE-SSCS Singapore and Semi. Industry Assoc. Singapore. He currently works for a local SME and is an enthusiastic user of Python for his projects.
