Quantum computing meetup

Hello Quantumers! Our fifth Meetup is on Thursday June 28th from 6:30 - 9:00pm, and it will be located at WeWork Beach Centre, 15 Beach Road. City Hall, Esplanade, and Bugis MRT stations are all 5 minutes walk away. The folks at WeWork have been very kind to offer us an amazing meeting room for the meetup, and access to their shared utilities.

This month we have again two talks:

• First, Tommaso Demarie from Entropica Labs will give a brief introduction to the concept of quantum-bit (qubit), as the fundamental unit of information in quantum computing.

• Then Jansen Zhao, a PhD candidate from Singapore University of Technology and Design and expert in quantum algorithms, will introduce us to the exciting world of quantum machine learning!

The talks will be starting at 7pm, in order to leave enough time and room for discussions afterwards.

Directions: Entrance to Beach Centre is located on Beach Road and Seah Street. WeWork's lobby is located on the 2nd floor. Upon arrival, please check in on the visitor kiosk via the Guest Registration Tablet at the Front Desk noting you are a guest of Jackie Lam.
