The last time we went we had over 100 members attend and we had to close the RSVP list. Everyone who attended had a fabulous time. Be quick and RSVP this time. It is without doubt the classiest bar and club in the city and attracts the super high ends of society. If you have not been there before then this is your opportunity. All our members will be allowed entry. Dress code is smart/glamorous/classy. (No sports shoes etc). I just want to highlight that while we are an Expat focused group we welcome Singaporeans. Absolutely no reason why you should spend your Saturday evening at home or worse in the office!! Please come and join us for a fun night with other internationally minded locals and expats in Singapore.

We have arranged for a great night of networking, socializing and partying at the CE LA VI which is in the the Marina Bay Sands right on the top floor and overlooking the massive pools!

As usual if you are early enough you will be introduced to other attendees and so there is absolutely no excuse. Additionally we will also invite members of other Expats Club meetup groups in the city and so you will meet a lot of new people.

• Please be aware that we have over 10 meetup groups in Singapore and we have invited members of many of these groups to attend. As a result we will have many more people who have RSVPed than what is stated at the top of this page. We will add members of other groups who RSVP as guests of the organisers.

PLEASE NOTE PROCESS VERY CAREFULLY:

1. We start at 7pm and you are requested to come as early as possible.

2. When you come to the ground floor you will have to pass the front desk. There you have to tell them that you are in 'The Expats Club Meetup' Guest list. (If you do not tell them this then they may not let you in or may ask you to pay an additional fee to go up)

3. When you reach the top and go the CE LA VI, you will me met at the front desk. At that front desk you will be asked for your business or name card or to provide your name and email details. After you provide these details you will be given the Expats Club wristband and then be directed towards Alex who will be on the terrace in the VIP section.

4. You should ask for Alex and the Expats Club meetup when you get to the VIP section so that they allow you in.

5. Once you get there please look for Alex and she will welcome you and also give you your drink token.

6. Once you have done all this you will also be introduced to the other members who attend and you will be free to take photos and admire the views from there.

7. Once you are in the VIP section please do not forget to get a hand stamp when you leave it so that you can come again.

8. Please note that the venue will be super crowded later on and so please make it a point to come as early as possible. This is a real super opportunity to meet and socialise with some classy people!!

You should come to our socials because

1. Our socials are organised in Singapore by Alexandra and Isabel who are both expats from Germany and a long term residents of Singapore. Our emphasis is on quality of people over quantity. We also have smaller groups of 20 to 40 people for a good reason. Everyone enjoys it more! Large groups are overwhelming.

2. We always host events. Our hosts actually welcome you and introduce you to others. There is no board carrying person or check in table or name stickers etc and no queueing to socialise with us.

3. We always welcome members and introduce you to other members. You will never be alone in our event.

4. Our events have internationally minded, well travelled and secular locals as well as internationally minded expats. You always meet people of different languages, cultures and backgrounds. You will always benefit in addition to making new friends.

Top Tips on making the best of our Meetups

1. Do not be shy: Everyone who attends meetups have to overcome this fear. Almost everyone who attends actually comes alone. Bring a friend if it makes it easier for you. Please remember that the organisers are there to help you socialise and so go meet them as soon as you come to an event. We will look after you the best we can.

2. Be friendly and welcoming. Meetups are social occasions. If you attend, make the effort to talk to different people, not just people you already know. Make a special effort to welcome newcomers and involve them in the meetup.

3. Attend a few meetups before you decide whether they work for you. The people at every meetup social are different as is the venue, environment, energy etc. One meetup is never like another. Attend at least 3 of them before you decide to become a life long member or stop attending.

4. Don’t just turn up, take part. Meetups work best when everyone participates actively, not just the organisers or old members. Come with a positive mind and be cheerful, meet lots of people and involve others. Do not sit in a corner or look at your mobile.

5. Spread the word. If you’ve enjoyed a meetup, don’t keep it to yourself. Tell people you think might benefit. Share links on social media. Blog about your experiences and what you’ve learned and gained. New members are the life blood of the group.

6. Comment, review and feedback: This is a community and it requires both online and offline engagement with other members as well as the organisers. You are invited to provide constructive feedback on the forums. If you want to complain or have a suggestion then that is best done through email or mobile directly to the organisers.
