Let's talk about the "Revolution in Rojava"

During the Syrian civil war that broke out in 2011, the Kurdish-majority region known as "Rojava" gained de facto autonomy. It has since become the site of an ongoing --- but seemingly fragile --- experiment to implement an inclusive, multi-ethnic, secular, feminist society based on "democratic confederalism" (or so its proponents claim).
Could this be the real deal: anarchist ideals in practice?
