Heartbreak Support Singapore

A Safe Space for Individuals going through Broken Hearts | Breakups, Separation & Divorce

Sometimes, getting through today is enough.

Have you ever experienced heartbreak so painful that you could barely eat, sleep, concentrate or function?

Perhaps your relationship has ended. Your marriage is falling apart. You've been betrayed, abandoned, rejected or hurt by someone you loved and trusted with your whole heart.

Maybe you wake up in the middle of the night with your heart racing, your mind overwhelmed by anxiety, fear and sadness.

You replay conversations endlessly, searching for answers. You feel completely lost, helpless and alone.

Friends and family may tell you to move on, stay strong or stop thinking about it. But it's simply not that easy.

Sometimes, you don't need advice. You just desperately need someone who understands.

That's why Heartbreak Support Singapore was created.

Who Is This Group For?

This isn't a divorce recovery programme. It's a place of refuge for people whose world has just collapsed.

It's for people who:

  • Wake up in the middle of the night with their hearts racing, overwhelmed by anxiety and emotional pain.

  • Can barely eat, sleep, concentrate or function normally.

  • Feel abandoned, betrayed, rejected, unwanted or completely alone.

  • Feel they've exhausted their friends and family with their problems and no longer know who to turn to.

  • Need emotional support but cannot afford repeated professional counselling sessions costing hundreds of dollars.

  • Are desperate for someone who genuinely understands what they're going through.

  • Feel their entire world has fallen apart and struggle to imagine what their future will look like.

And perhaps most importantly, this group is for people who aren't ready to rebuild yet.

You don't need to have accepted what's happened.

You don't need to have moved on.

You don't need to be positive, strong or optimistic.

You don't need to have your future figured out.

Sometimes, you're simply trying to get through today. And that's okay.

What We Do

We organise monthly, in-person support gatherings where adults experiencing heartbreak, separation and divorce can come together in a comfortable, welcoming environment.

Our gatherings are informal but facilitated, usually beginning with small groups of 6–10 participants.

Everyone has the opportunity to share their experiences, but nobody is required to speak.

You're welcome to:

Share your story and express your emotions openly.

Listen to others who may be experiencing similar struggles.

Find comfort in knowing you're not alone.

Exchange personal experiences and coping strategies, if invited.

Connect with people who understand what you're going through.

Simply sit quietly and enjoy the company of others.

We aim to meet in comfortable cafés, lounges or pubs around Singapore, where participants can relax over coffee, food or an optional drink.

Alcohol consumption is subject to strict safety guidelines, including a maximum of two drinks and absolutely no driving after consuming alcohol.

No judgement. No pressure. No unsolicited advice. No obligations.

You can attend once, occasionally, or whenever you feel you need a listening ear.

Why I Started This Group

I'm an individual navigating my own painful journey through marital breakdown, emotional distress, legal difficulties and financial uncertainty.

I've experienced the sleepless nights, overwhelming anxiety, physical symptoms of stress, loneliness and moments when simply getting through the day felt incredibly difficult.

I've also attended numerous professional counselling sessions, costing $200/$300/$450 per hour. While counselling can be valuable, I understand how difficult it can be to sustain those costs, particularly when life already feels overwhelming.

I'm still navigating my own struggles and trying to find my way forward through exercise, routines, spending meaningful time with my young children and gradually rebuilding my life.

Some days are better than others. Some are still incredibly difficult.

I don't claim to have all the answers, and I'm not a professional counsellor or therapist.

I'm simply someone who knows how painful heartbreak can be and believes nobody should have to face their darkest moments completely alone.

Our Community Values

We ask every member to respect these principles:

Empathy: Listen with compassion and understanding.

Respect: Everyone's experience and emotional pain are valid.

Privacy: Respect other members' confidentiality and personal boundaries.

No Judgement: Nobody is here to take sides, criticise or tell others how they should feel.

No Pressure: You decide whether to share, listen or simply be present.

Our gatherings are for adults aged 18 and above. Individual events generally have a S$20 attendance and organising fee, with refreshments paid for separately.

Please note that this is a peer-led support community, not professional counselling, psychological treatment or emergency crisis intervention. If you need urgent support, Samaritans of Singapore (1767) and National mindline (1771) are available 24 hours. In an immediate emergency, call 995.

You don't have to be okay to be here.

You don't need to have the answers.

You don't need to have moved on.

And you certainly don't need to pretend everything is fine.

Sometimes, all we need is someone willing to listen, without judgement.

Welcome to Heartbreak Support Singapore. You're not alone.
