BIG TALK: Feel Heard, Make Real Connections
Details
Back by popular demand!
Ever wish you had more people to talk to about the things that actually matter? — and feel heard?
BIG TALK is a relaxed evening for people who want deeper conversations, genuine connection, and a chance to talk about the things we don’t always get to talk about in everyday life.
We’ll use Big Talk conversation cards by Kalina Silverman to help us skip the usual small talk and get into conversations about life, relationships, dreams, values, experiences, fears, hopes and the things that shape who we are.
You’ll get to:
👂 Feel genuinely heard — everyone gets space to speak, not just the loudest person in the room
🤝 Make real connections with curious, open-minded people who also want something deeper than surface-level conversation
💬 Share what’s actually on your mind in a respectful, non-judgmental setting
🧠 Hear perspectives you may never encounter in your usual circles
🌱 Understand yourself better as you reflect on questions you may not normally stop to think about
Always wanted to know your friend or spouse at a deeper level? Bring them along and leave feeling more connected than ever
🌿 Shy or introverted? You’re very welcome.
Most of the evening will be spent in small groups, so you won’t have to speak in front of a big crowd or fight to get a word in.
There’s no pressure to be outgoing, entertaining or “good at talking.”
You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with, and you can always pass on a question.
Good listeners are just as welcome as good talkers.
The aim is simple: everyone should leave feeling like their thoughts, experiences and perspective mattered.
How the session works
7.20 PM — Quick introductions
7.40 PM onwards — BIG TALK in small groups
9.30 PM — Wrap up
We start at 7.20 PM sharp, so please have dinner before coming.
This isn’t a workshop, therapy session or networking event.
There are no right or wrong answers, and you don’t need to impress anyone.
Just come curious, listen openly and share at your own pace.
Come as strangers. Leave feeling a little more heard, understood and connected.
Big Talk is created by Kalina Silverman. This community event is independently organised and is not affiliated with the venue or sponsored by Big Talk.
