Lunch then Card Games, 2nd Thurs of each Month @ City Diner

Details
We will have a regular, standing place for lunch and a few games of cards. Of course, you can come for lunch only, but we are hoping to gather more people that want to play cards on a regular basis. We are lucky to have found a place that will allow us to do this in this day and age.
We'll start first by meeting monthly, until we gather more members. We'll probably then move to every two weeks. It appears like we'll start with a couple of variations of rummy, but the group will decide by majority as it moves along. This gathering will always be set on the second Thursday of each month. So mark your calendars now!
When you RSVP, the system will ask if you are staying to play cards. I only ask, as a courtesy to me, and those that are attending, that if your plans change, that you change your RSVP by 48 hours prior the the date.
The Venue. The restaurant is a friendly, casual neighborhood diner with quite a large menu. The size of the menu is especially good for people coming on a regular basis. I have some favorite dishes there. There will be plenty of parking, probably close to the door, during the day.
Directions. This restaurant is just outside Alexandria, where it borders with Falls Church. If you are coming from Old Town, travel west on King street, go under the overpass (train tracks?) at the end of old town, bear right and continue up King for a mile or two. Cross Quaker and pass the Bradlee Shopping Center on your left. Cross over 395 and cross Beauregard St where there is a TGIF on your left. Next, cross George Mason and then just past Carlyn Springs, it is on your right side.
If you are coming from the 395, take 395 north and get off on King Street west, and cross Beauregard, etc., as above. If you are coming from further out, you might take Rt 50 east to Seven Corners, and take Leesburg Pike east, to your right, and come down about 2 1/2 miles. The Diner will be on your left.
