I know it's short notice and mid week, but it's half term the following week and super expensive, but hey some may wish to join me :) And if not a great trip for next year, but will be more pricey, if you can join me in October would be great.

Escape super high prices in the summer and embark on an autumn spa retreat in a 5 star hotel in Montecatini Terme. Join me as we Indulge in wine-tasting. Immerse yourself in breath taking Tuscany, a grand country spa town boasting fountains, grottos, and hot springs. With convenient rail connections to Florence, explore the vibrant cities and then relax amidst the tranquil cypress trees.

Montecatini Terme is famous for its thermal waters and can be considered one of the biggest “spa towns” in Italy. At the turn of the 20th century, the amount of hotels started growing and so did the need to combine the thermal bathing with fun, relax and sport.

A host of trendy restaurants, theatres, night clubs opened, as well as a casino, and a lot of celebrities began to visit the city. In fact, it was easy to meet people like Giuseppe Verdi, Pietro Mascagni, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Trilussa, Beniamino Gigli and Luigi Pirandello in the city centre and in the thermal parks.

This holiday is from 17th- 20th October

Itinerary

Day 1
We fly from Gatwick early and are transferred to our hotel, free day to relax, spend time in the spa etc

Later we have an opportunity to fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape via the Funicular of Montecatini, which has been going since June 4, 1898.
Getting on the red trains, Gigio & Gigia, is the most romantic, nostalgic, and the most pleasant way to admire the whole valley of Montecatini and reach the village of Montecatini Alto, we may possibly have dinner here as there are several restaurants and cute shops.

Day 2
After an early breakfast we embark on an exciting full-day excursion to the most colourful coastline of Italy, the famous Cinque Terre, with a opportunity to Shop, swim, and enjoy a boat ride. Additional cost of £111 with lunch or £90 without lunch

Day 3
Late afternoon we will savour the tastes of Tuscan countryside farm and have a typical light dinner with a tasting of 6 wines.

Day 4
Sadly it's our last day in Tuscany, we have a late flight so a chance to enjoy the spa or explore further.
