June is a perfect time to explore Albania, boasts splendid weather, ideal for soaking up the sun on pristine beaches being outdoors.

Once a forgotten corner of the Mediterranean, this hidden gem is waiting to be explored on one of our Albania tours.

Gaining independence in 1912, Albania was the last country to break away from the Ottoman Empire. It then endured decades of oppressive rule, remaining under communist control long after the rest of Europe had moved on.

Only since 1997 has Albania truly begun to find stability and reconnect with the wider world. This turbulent history has left its mark, and while infrastructure such as roads still lags behind European standards, steady improvements are being made.

Yet, despite these challenges, the warmth and hospitality of the Albanian people remain undiminished. In remote regions, traditional life continues much as it has for centuries, with homemade cheese, bread, and raki offering a taste of true authenticity. The dramatic Albanian Alps tower over the northern landscapes bordering Montenegro, providing a paradise for nature lovers, while in the south, pristine beaches and historic Christian monasteries await.

Admire stunning Ottoman architecture and explore ancient ruins dating back to the Roman era. Meanwhile, its national parks offer breathtaking landscapes, from rugged mountains to untouched forests, perfect for those seeking adventure in the great outdoors.

Holiday is from Friday June 27th - Wednesday July 2nd 2025 4 Nights and 5 days

Temperature in June is 28 degrees, so bring your sun lotion and glasses.

Hopefully if we book in time we will be staying at a spa hotel which will include use of the sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool. If you book late and hotel is fully booked i will book a hotel for you close to our hotel, however it may not be a spa hotel.

Flights leave from Stansted Airport too expensive flighting from the other airports.

We will catch the coach from Victoria Coach Station to Stanstead Airport, additional fee applies.

This holiday is limited to 12 travellers, however once i have 4 deposits this holiday will go ahead and i will purchase flight tickets.
If less then 4 deposits 3 weeks before holiday you will be refunded.

Itinerary

Day 1 On arrival we are transferred to our hotel. Enjoy the use of the spa at the hotel before our early evening cruise, as we discover the magic of Lake Skadar on a guided sightseeing tour. Travel inside a traditional wooden boat, enjoy time for swimming, taste local Vranac wine, and admire beautiful landscapes.

Day 2 Day trip to Montenegro for the day

Discover Montenegro's Adriatic coastline and its historic Bays of Budva and Kotor on a guided tour, we will enjoy a full-day journey filled with charming towns and coastal scenery. Learning and exploring ingenious medieval fortifications of Kotor's castle. Trace Venetian history in the Balkan peninsula as we journey through Kotor and Budva.

Montenegro may have declared its independence in June 2006, yet it is its medieval castles and settlements that offer unique traces of its history, and placed Crna Gora - which means "Black Mountains", in the world's attention.

Day 3
Free Time or Optional 10 am pick up to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain Hiking Day Trip or have a spa day at the hotel. Additional tour fee £26

• Feel the thrill of tackling rugged mountain terrain to reach a viewpoint
• Capture the moment by snaping photos at a panoramic viewpoint over the lake
• Get away from the hustle and bustle of Tirana to experience fresh mountain air

The hike will be 2 to 2.5 km around 40 minutes to 1 hour, maybe hot during June, bring fans and bottle of water to keep hydrated.

Day 4 After breakfast we will explore 6 places in southern Albania on a full day tour with visits to Gjirokaster, Blue Eye, Lekuresi Castle, Mesopotam Monastery, Ottoman bridge, and Bunkers. Let's discover history, nature and stunning views together.

Day 5
Last day to explore, go shopping or enjoy the spa our flight leave early evening.
