About us

This group was started to create a great community in the Bucks and Berks areas. Attending our events is a great way to make new sociable friends and to maybe even meet that someone special along the way if you're currently single. The socials are open to everyone and you don't need to be single to join. However, we do only want people who are single for the dating events.

You will also see events listed on our Meet Up by Toyin from Get a Social Life who puts up some interesting events also not within the area such as holidays abroad, weekend breaks and some classy events in London.

Are you fed up with all that online dating? Why not come and meet loads of singles in one evening who are genuinely wanting to meet someone. Meet people the old fashioned way face to face!!

It was the best atmosphere we had since starting up this way with our club at Birds Hill Golf Club in Maidenhead Taking Max 250
(We will be at this venue after Sat June 27th on Sat August 29th, Sat October 31st for the Halloween Party and Sat Dec 5th for our early Christmas Party.

£29.50 Dining Speed Dating 6.30pm .
Just 5 places left for ladies and 8 for men by May 21st..
8 tables of 6 next time with 4 tables in the adjoining room and 4 tables in the other room so more spaced out. The men will still sit on all 8 tables.

£13 Party Only & Speed Dating Circle followed by party with DJ John Johnny until Midnight
You need to arrive 7.45pm for the speed dating circle 8pm until 8.30pm when only soft background music will be playing. Four of us will form a big circle outside around the dance floor with ladies on the outside and men on the inside facing the ladies. The whilstle will blow and there will be an announcement on the mic for the men to move to the next lady every 2 minutes. We will continue for 15 moves and then DJ John Johnny will kick off the party.

It is not compulsory to join in but it is a great ice-breaker if you do as gets you mixing before the party kicks off.

You can pay direct if you text Julie on 07948 417416 with full name, area you live and year of birth. Please state if it is for June 27th or a later date at this venue. It is still essential to text through details if you book via the site as we need to register everyone attending.
Once booked please RSVP on our main Meet Up group https://www.meetup.com/single-and-social-parties-events-bucks-berks . If you attend with a friend they can just text to confirm details and we will note on the guest list that they came with you so they can still be traced if someone wishes to pass them a message via us.

This is one amazing venue. So much character and the bar prices are absolutely amazing i.e large glass of wine only £5 and short and mixer only £4.50 - more like Wetherspoon prices!. The function area inside the main club house also has a seated terraced area outside which is the best area to go to chat away from the music.

We will again have DJ John Johnny who is great at creating an amazing atmosphere at events. You are welcome to pass on messages via us the day after the event and you can look up the names of those who attended on the past event the next day. Do remember the first name and the area the person lives as we can then pass on a text for you if you did not manage to exchange numbers on the night.

We should say that the events are developing more like a social club so any couples who do meet at events are welcome to attend together. It is nice to have a dance within your area range which is more 35 to 65 for our events. It will only be singles taking part with the dining speed dating or the speed dating circle.
