** ANNOUNCEMENT **
While waiting for the next gathering, why not join the community online first and introduce your pet? Telegram: t.me/wearesingapawrents
Welcome to the Single Pawrents meetup group! This group is for single pet owners who are in their 20s, 30s and 40s, living in Singapore. It aims to organise casual gatherings for single pawrents to meet and share about their pets and themselves. This also creates an opportunity for pets/furbabies to interact with each other.
It's not a walk in the park being a pawrent, let alone a single pawrent, as pets do require a lot of love, care and attention. We hope that through these opportunities, single pawrents experience a sense of support and have an enjoyable time mingling with fellow pet lovers!
This group allows organisers of different districts in Singapore to organise such get-togethers at pet-friendly locations in their districts.
We understand that not all pets have paws and not all furbabies have fur. Your pets don't necessarily have to be dogs and cats. We welcome different pets (e.g. rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, other small animals, birds, terrapins, fish, etc.) on the condition that as a pet owner, you also prioritise the safety of the general public and the participants. Pawrents are to always look after the safety of their pets and be responsible for their own pets. Fosterers are welcomed to join in.
Participants are to be:
- Single: legally single and actually single
- Pawrents: pet owners who own pets at the point of participating
- 20s to 40s: this age range was selected to help foster relatable interactions among individuals who are at similar life stages
[We hope that this group's preferences are respected.]
Group Culture:
Be kind and considerate to one another. RSVP is mandatory to participate so that we can get an accurate number of participants for every gathering. No no-shows please. If unable to attend, please update your attendance or DM the host as early as possible. Thanks!
Event Fee:
Each event may require a small nominal fee to indicate genuine interest. If we are attending a ticketed public event together, the admission fee can be paid directly to the ticketed event.
Show Your Support!
