Set against the vibrant heartbeat of New Orleans, Let The Good Times Roll : “A New Orleans Gumbo” follows a young woman who, after personal loss, escapes to the Crescent City in search of peace. But instead of silence , she finds rhythm. Surrounded by the city’s unmistakeable rhythm, she’s swept into a soundscape shaped by legends like Bessie Smith, Dr, John, Professor Longhair, The Meters, Harry Connick Jr., Rebirth, Brass Band, Randy Newman and more. With a 🎵LIVE band, bringing the beat to life, this world premier musical , developed at the Phoenix Theatre Company’s festival of New American Theater, is it a joyful and soul-stirring tribute to the healing power of music, community, and rebirth .
