About This Group:
This group is for single adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who love great food and good conversation. The goal is to create low-pressure, fun, and sophisticated gatherings with a small group of people curated to foster an engaging and comfortable group dynamic. The main activity is simple: enjoy shared dining experiences with other unpartnered people who want to expand their social circles and are open to connection. If sparks fly, great. If not, you still had a memorable get-together with interesting people.
How It Works:
- Most dinners, happy hours, or brunches are limited to 6-8 people
- Members are asked to answer a few questions when joining the group
- Members express interest for an event by adding their name to a waitlist
- Attendees are selected from the waitlist to create a balanced and engaging group dynamic
- Priority is given to those who have completed the group questionnaire thoughtfully, as well as to maintaining a mix of new and returning members
- By design, not everyone will be selected for every event; this is not a first-come, first-served system
- All backgrounds and orientations are welcome
Additional Events
In addition to curated dining events, the group will periodically host more casual, open gatherings (potentially larger in size), which may not always use the waitlist signup system
What This Is Not:
- Speed dating
- A matchmaking service
- A place for creepy, sleazy, disrespectful, or discriminatory behavior
- A low-effort environment - chronic no-shows may be removed from the group per a "No Flakes" Policy
- A business — this is entirely volunteer organized
