Event
Bloom & Bottle:
Celebrate Mother’s Day with a creative experience in one of Redwood City’s most atmospheric historic spaces.
Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM at Alhambra House for Bloom & Bottle, a hands-on workshop where guests create a beautiful floral mason jar lantern using dried florals, decorative finishes, and soft fairy lights. Each guest leaves with a glowing handmade keepsake that feels personal, seasonal, and special.
This workshop is designed in two meaningful ways:
make something for your mother as a heartfelt handmade gift, or make something with your motheras a shared experience and memory you create together.
As a bonus, each guest will also receive a second jar or upcycled bottle to decorate and take home, giving you two creative pieces to enjoy or gift.
Set inside the historic Alhambra House, the event blends creativity, ambiance, and connection. With its rich local history and unforgettable vibe, it is a perfect backdrop for a Mother’s Day outing. The building is said to have played a role in the love story of Wyatt Earp and Josephine Marcus, adding a layer of charm and story to the experience. While you work on your art, we will share some trivia and stories on this unique location.
Guests will be guided step by step through the blooming lantern-making process. Because your jar or bottle will need time to dry between coats of Mod Podge, the workshop includes a natural pause built into the experience. This is the perfect time to treat Mom to a quick bite, enjoy a mocktail, or relax together in the setting.
Mocktails and food will be available for purchaseduring the event.
