About the course:
• With a DGCourseReview.com rating of 3.73, Alexander Park is one of the most liked disc golf courses in the Atlanta area. It has a good mix of open and lightly wooded holes.
• From the short tees, you can see most baskets. It's well marked, and easy to find the next hole.
•The holes in the open are on rolling hills. Course is clean and well kept.
•There is some elevation change but not much. Great course for newbies. (If you want to try this sport for the 1st time, this Saturday is the day.
About Disc golf:
• A disc is the only equipment you need to play (PDGA approved discs that fly better than those big frisbees you tossed when you were a kid. They are available at Dick's, Academy Sports, Sports Authority, eBay, Play it Again Sports, etc.)
• If you're buying discs, go for Innova, Prodigy, Millenium, Vibram or Discraft discs.
• View these YouTube videos to see how to throw better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GwdghSH4rk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v-9%=30cUNsWOYSI
• Traffic can be heavy in this area, so give yourself extra time to get there . .
