Hike: Simpsonwood Park from the YMCA 6+ miles

Simpsonwood in Peachtree Corners has been under construction for years and it is not completed and lovely. This will be a combination of walking on the street 1.25 miles, then a 3.5+ mile loop in Simpsonwood Park (across the Chattahoochee River from Jones Bridge) and walking 1.5 back to our cars. It will be a total of 6+ miles or maybe a touch more. We'll walk 2.75-3 mph on the street and 2.25-2.5 mph in the park. This is a lovely wooded trail and not to be missed. It is a beginner/intermediate hike which is not the same as a beginner hike..you must be able to walk 3 mph on the street...so get out there and see if you can walk 1 mile in 20 minutes.

There are bathroom in the park so you will actually have 2 opportunities to use them at 1.25 miles and 3.75 miles. Do not attempt to use the bathrooms at the YMCA unless you are a member.

We will be meeting at the Peachtree Corners YMCA . When coming down Peachtree Corners Circle turn onto W. Jones Bridge Road and make a right into the parking lot. We'll meet in the parking lot close to that entrance far away from the entrance to the building

Bring water, hat and sunglasses etc. Also arrive 15 minutes early for introductions. We leave on time or even early. If you change your mind change your RSVP. Don't be a no show.
