HIKE: CRNA HIKE AT GOLD BRANCH all the trails...6+miles. No beg or superspeeders

We're off to the Gold Branch unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. We will meet in the parking lot, which is located off Lower Roswell Road at 9:45am. . Please note that there are no restrooms at this location. We will hike ALL THE TRAILS in 3 hours. This means that to get to some of the trails we have to repeat ones that we have already done. Hopefully all trails will help me construct this before the hike.

This is a beg-intermediate hike though there are some hills and poles are recommended. We will be hiking 2.25-2.5 miles/hour. From the parking lot, we'll enter the woods and shortly make a moderate ascent. The remainder of the first half of the hike contains relatively gentle undulations. The second half of the hike will include two or three ascents. We will have plenty of nice views of the river and Bull Sluice Lake. There is a $5 parking fee if you don't have a CRNRA pass. Please leave valuables at home.

Coming from downtown Atlanta drive north on Roswell Road; 0.8 miles past I 285 turn left onto Johnson Ferry Road and drive 3.8 miles. Turn right onto Lower Roswell Road and drive 2.2 miles.
