Elachee Nature Science Center/ Chicopee Woods Back Country Trail/8 miles

PLEASE READ ENTIRELY
We will be hiking the Chicopee Backcountry Trail to the Lake. Then on the way back we will take the Lake Loop to the Bridge Loop to finish up. (If you have All Trails you can see where we will be going). This is 8 miles of several ups and downs. The ups aren't super hard there's just a lot of them. That is why I have allotted 4 hours for the hike. We will also be crossing a few creeks. Hiking poles may be helpful.

Please arrive around 8:45. We will start the hike at 9:00. Please use any GPS method you like to navigate to the Elachee Nature Science Center. It is located at 2125 Elachee Drive, Gainesville, GA. Once you make the right into the Center make another sharp right to go through the pay booth. It costs $5.00 to park. No other passes work here as it is a private facility. Drive around the long winding golf course, then over the bridge [with green/blue sides]. Then make the first immediate right after the bridge to park.
