Our regulars know the drill. But if you're new - for this event:

From 8:00ish til 11:15ish - Lets meet up at Truck Yard to grab a drink and connect with others in the group after a long week. This should be an easy place for any first timers to get acquainted with others in the group. Then ,,,,

From 11:15ish til ???? - We'll "dial up" 😉 the energy a bit at The Secret Group at DIAL UP (their weekly 90s & Y2K Dance Party) !

Last week we kicked off our "six week social sprint" with a culinary excursion to Pacific Coast Tacos ,,,with our featured meme exhorting us to "Be More Pacific" 🙂🙂. And it was so much fun,,,let's "lean into the meme" and take such wisdom to heart. For this week's midweek event ,,,, forget just going to the coast ,,,LET'S GO FULL-ON PACIFIC RIM AT BE MORE PACIFIC FILIPINO KITCHEN AND BAR ,,,,,a fan favorite that we haven't been to since December of last year.

Often referred to as the "original fusion cuisine," Filipino dishes draw from Spanish, Malaysian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and American cultures - bridging the gap between the world's favorite flavors.

So come on out and join us for a chance to take a break during the week and catch up with friends both old and new. All are welcome !

Some may not be aware that we have Texas' oldest craft brewery right here in Houston!

31 years ago Brock Wagner founded Saint Arnold Brewing Company, named after the patron saint of brewers - Saint Arnulf of Metz. After operating out of their original location in northwest Houston for more than 15 years, by 2009 they had relocated to their current three-story 104,000 square foot brick building that is adjacent to an expansive beer garden. And today, Saint Arnold's brewing classics - including Lawnmower, H-Town Pils, Elissa IPA ,,,and the original Amber Ale are all standards in Houstonians' "libation lexicon."

So it's been 31 years ,,,,, TIME FOR A PARTY 🎈🎈!!! Think ,,, LOT'S OF GREAT MUSIC 🎸,,, LOT'S OF GREAT FOOD 🍗,,,,, LOT'S OF GREAT SWAG 👓. Oh ,,,,, and "maybe ,,, just maybe" 😉😉 ,,,, LOT'S OF GREAT BEER 🍺🍺!!!

But ,,,along with great fun ,,,comes great responsibility. Because this event will be logistically challenging please pay special attention to the following:

* GOOD NEWS FIRST -THIS YEAR THE EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND ,,,,,SO WE SHOULD HAVE A GOOD CROWD 🎉💃🕺.

* BAD NEWS SECOND - WE SHOULD HAVE A GOOD CROWD - SO ,,,, THIS EVENT WILL BE CROWDED AND HAVE LIMITED PARKING. ALTHOUGH THERE ARE SEVERAL LOTS AROUND THE BREWERY, THEY MAY FILL UP FAST. PLEASE CONSIDER UBERING.

* I WILL POST OUR LOCATION AT THE TOP OF THIS EVENT DESCRIPTION AFTER I ARRIVE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

* THE BREWERY CLOSES AT 11 PM. AT 11 PM, WE WILL HEAD TO ANGEL
SHARE DOWNTOWN TO CONTINUE THE FESTIVITIES.

For this week's Midweek, let's do a "dining drive-by" at a hometown fav - On The Kirb. And while most weeks the "witty event descriptions" (at least IMHO 🙂) ,,, choke full of cleverly placed puns and artful alliteration,,,, seem to roll off the "literary" tongue, this week the meetup muse appears to have taken a sudden sabbatical 😉😉. Oh ,,the memes are abundant ,,,,, "steak it easy", "so ,,,we "meat" again", "going vegan is a "missed steak", and ,,,,,last but not least "a steak pun is a rare medium well done" (ouch ,,, 🙄😣😣). But none of them quite seem to land. So ,,,for this week's enticing event description, I've decided to rely instead on that main stay of business writing ,,,, BULLET POINTS. This week's venue offers us the following:

* On The Kirb is in the heart of Midtown .....so an easy get for many if not most of us (so ,,,yay).
* On Wednesday's they have deals on grass fed fillet mignon (so ,,,yeah ,,,it's a steak night).
* They got a "bronze medal" 🏆 on yelp as one of the best Wednesday night steak nights in Houston (hey we placed ,,,so we'll take it).
* They also have tons of chicken, fish and vegetarian options for the nonsteak eaters among us (so its an "ecumenical" steak night).
* They have reverse happy hour on Wednesday nights starting at 10 PM (why didn't I lead with this one ?? 🤷‍♂️).

As our featured picture alludes ,,,the steaks are already pretty chill. So lets "steak" it easy this Wednesday ,,,,, and enjoy a chance to catch up with old friends and new during the middle of the week. All are welcome ! Feel free to bring a friend !
