We're set for a fun and canine filled day !

🐶 Expect fluffy Poms, speedy Collies, silky Afghans, cheeky Dachshunds, and even the gentle giants. Add in a High Tea, some local history, laughs, and plenty of waggy moments, and we’ve got ourselves a feel-good day from start to finish 🙂

OUR DAY TOGETHER - from Show Rings to Agility Runs
We've got a full, well-paced day lined up - starting with the excitement of the Champion Show, then breaking things up with a relaxing High Tea and a wander through a local museum before finishing the evening with the energy of the Agility and Obedience Trials. It means plenty of variety across the day, with dogs, food, and local history all woven together.
- The morning takes us to the Champion Dog Show, where each breed is judged on presentation, style and movement for that perfect breed standard. Our chance to see many different canines from tiny fluffballs to towering giants. With coffee vans and foodie stalls on site, there'll be options for those who'd like to purchase their own lunch while we're here.
- Our next visit takes us to a welcoming High Tea venue, where a generous and satisfying selection of savoury and sweet treats awaits. A lovely way for us to pause, unwind, and enjoy each other's company before the next part of our adventure. Please let me know any dietary requirements when you RSVP.
- Just a short walk away, we'll pay a short visit to a local museum, where the region's history is brought to life through engaging displays and stories .
- Finally, we'll travel to a nearby Canine Club for the Agility & Jumping Trials - this is high-energy, edge-of-your-seat fun as the dogs race, weave, and leap with determination in their own personality styles.
At agility trials, judges aren't just watching speed - they're scoring dogs on how accurately they complete the course eg clearing jumps cleanly, weaving correctly, entering tunnels properly, and following the course in the right order. A fast run is great, but accuracy is what really earns top marks!
- We'll also see some dogs working towards their obedience titles, from beginner level (basic control and manners), through to intermediate (retrieving, drop on recall, longer stays), and right up to advanced (scent work, hand signals, and complex routines). It means we'll be watching some very clever canines who've trained for years to earn those titles! 🐾
It's also a great chance for us to capture a few action shots across a wide variety of breeds, so we feel part of the excitement as it unfolds.

For this event I've also added a Nudgee Station meet spot so our Northsiders can join in more easily (since we're heading south). If you're meeting at Nudgee, please contribute $12 towards the return fuel/tolls cost for the Nudgee-Beenleigh leg - either add it to your event payment, or bring $12 cash on the day.
