As part of the celebration of Western Pennsylvania’s rich football history leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, NFL Films presents the world premiere of “The Football Town,” which explores the region’s storied football tradition.
The first-ever immersive format documentary produced by NFL Films will run throughout the weeks leading up to and following the 2026 NFL Draft taking place this April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. The film focuses on the unique history of football in Western Pennsylvania, a region defined by grit, steel, hard work, three rivers, and community.
WHERE TO MEET
Meet on the ground floor at the Rangos Cinema refreshment and ticketing counter. The film opened March 24 and runs through May 31. I'd advise to get tickets now in case it sells out. There are, however, no refunds.
PARKING is $6.00 paid at kiosk before you leave. You might find parking around the back has more handicapped slots and you can walk right in without stairs at that level through the cafe and into the theater lobby.
SEATING
The best seats are toward the top of the theater, so if you want to use the elevator the staff will assist us to get into the upper level. Wait for staff to be ready to guide us. If you want to get your cardio steps in, you're welcome to use the stairs.
WHAT ABOUT DINNER?
After the film (as of this posting date) we plan to go to Atria's in the Strip District. With the film over by 3:45 we will have time to drive there and find street parking which is free on Sundays. Reservation will probably be for 4:30. Watch for a separate event post for the dinner only. I will alert all those who have RSVP'd that its about to go live.
