About us
IMPORTANT Change for this group: starting January 2027, we will move this group into Sixty Sisters GVL. We will STILL hold an event the first week of every month in Spartanburg County and the third week of every month in the Greenville area. Until then, events are posted in both groups snd you may join/reserved in either (but please only rsvp in one). This move is simply to make administration easier. We love all our sisters!
We are women celebrating all women over 60! Hi, I'm Lorraine, your host and founder of Sixty Sisters. There are three 60S groups in the Upstate, including this one to welcome the women of Spartanburg! Our meetup groups are all about making new friends and connection over shared and differing experiences of life in Act III. We hold monthly luncheons or coffees and occasional other events. Each gathering is designed for welcoming interaction with a few topical discussion questions posed to get the conversation going.
Currently, there are no membership fees (subject to change). Each member pays for their own meal or entry fees if noted. Members of all 60S are invited/welcome to attend all events (so rsvp counts may differ from what you see here). Sixty Sisters Spartanburg (SPB) will meet the first week of the month, unless otherwise noted. 60S GVL meets every 3rd week of the month. 60S Olli meets weekly on Wednesdays when school is in session (must be registered at Olli Furman). Please note: Reservations open 1 week prior to each event (unless noted). We do this to help cut down on the number of last-minute cancellations. Please do not rsvp if you are unsure you can make it. We know things happen, so if you do need to cancel, please do so on the event page so another sister can attend. Most restaurants are limited in the total number we can reserve without paying for a private room. Meetup will add attendees from the waitlist in the order received.
