Draw at the Frick Museum!

NOTE THE DIFFERENT TIME: 11:30!
The Frick is an incredible NYC institution. Did you know it was the basis for the Avengers’ headquarters? (In the comics, not the movies.) It’s a rare treat to get to sketch their collection. This meetup is a little different for us and has some important guidelines.

1. Make sure you enter at 10 East 71st Street! This is essential.
2. PAY ME AT THE DOOR (cash or Venmo). Do NOT pay the museum. I already had to buy the tickets. They are $30 each.
3. There are no discounts available - sorry! Their rules, not mine. Tickets are $30 whether you’re a member, senior, student, or muppet.
4. To protect the art, only pencil/charcoal is allowed for drawing in the galleries. (And iPads, of course.)
5. There is a strict limitation in the number of attendees. Feel free to join the waitlist and you will be bumped up if someone else cancels.

What makes our Meetups different from other art groups and classes? There's no instruction, but we like to share our work, and chat and be inspired. Share tips and learn from people in a casual environment where all levels of artists are welcome! Don't be shy to ask anyone anything!

• We sketch for a bit, usually 45 minutes or so, and then get back together and share our drawings, and then sketch again, etc. There's usually time for 3 sketches.

• Please bring your own supplies - anything you like to work with - pens, pencil, watercolor, pastel, small sketchbook or large paper, iPad, whatever suits you.

• We hand out nametags so everyone can meet one another!

• We take photos to share on the site later. Take a bunch!

• Sorry, but please leave the dogs at home; they tend to step on the artwork. Thanks.

• This Meetup is FREE and everyone at all skill levels is welcome!
