About us
We are an activity-centered social club with a special emphasis on skiing. We sponsor local, Western, and European ski trips, and we have all sorts of other activities like bike rides, canoe and kayak events, or just getting together for a local tavern night. Be respectful to the event host if you are not coming, please remove your name from the list of attendees.
As a condition for participants on these events:
1. I accept the rules and regulations as shown on the Event Responsibility and Policies pages.
2. The Skiwi Ski and Social Club and its members individually and/or collectively shall not be held liable for any personal injury or property loss whatsoever.
3. The Skiwi Ski and Social Club through its officers and designated chairpersons shall hold authority on the event. Any person who engages in inappropriate conduct may be removed from the event and held fully responsible for all costs incurred as a direct result of their removal.

Bicycle Ride - Skiwi Cantina Ride

Shore to Shore Detroit RideMeet at/Park near Cullen Plaza, 1340 Atwater Street, Detroit, Michigan
Note: there is metered parking near Cullen Plaza and there are public rest rooms at Cullen Plaza
Ride is a guided route approximately 15 - 16 MILES ROUNDTRIP – 10 MPH pace – you need to be able to maintain that pace! Route was designed by Debbie Merlo to explore Shore to Shore Loop
Lunch TBD after the ride nearby
Bring cell phone, sunscreen, helmet, bike lock, drinking water, lunch money,
and bicycle in GOOD working order.

Bicycle Ride - Detroit to Windsor

Wheels roll at 11:00 AM departure.
Detroit to Windsor by crossing the Howe bridge. Meet at Riverside Park, cross bridge, bike along the river through Windsor to almost Belle Isle. 21 miles. Bridge is free for bicycles but you still need ID to cross the border.

Meeting starts at 7:00pm.
Our meetings are usually 30 to 40 people. No need to say that you are attending but it would be nice, either way see you there!Note that a 25% tip will be automatically added to each separate bill. This is customary for large group gatherings (over 6 persons) at MALONES TAVERN

Bicycle Ride - Downtown Detroit tour
Cullen Family Carousel, Detroit Riverwalk, Detroit, MI, USArrive at 10:45
Wheels roll at 11:00 AM departure.
New Downtown Detroit tour. Meet at Cullen Plaza.
Easy scenic ride. The primary goal is to see public art like statues, murals, & tall buildings etc. in Detroit. Take pictures. There will be many brief stops on a serpentine route. We use bicycles merely as a convenient conveyance. Park at Detroit Riverwalk Park near Cullen Plaza, street parking on Atwater St., or at the Outdoor Adventure Center. Allow extra time for finding parking. 11 miles.
