Salt Lake Oasis Sunday Gathering
Details
Come be part of a community of individuals and families who value people more than beliefs. Some have said it's like going to a Ted talk with live music every Sunday. We meet at 11 AM Mountain Time in the Parker Theatre Studio at 3601 State Street, South Salt Lake. We would love to have you join us for some great topics and socializing!
Join us this Sunday when we will hear from Val Allyse on the topic of:
The Road Home
Val Allyse has dedicated over 30 years to education, primarily working with children. Two years ago she decided to transition her focus to working to improve the lives of vulnerable adults, an experience that has deepened her understanding and compassion for those in need. She grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and later spent a delightful ten years in Bozeman, Montana. In 2010, she moved to Utah, where she quickly fell in love with the breathtaking natural beauty the state has to offer. Her career path led her to leave a position at the Natural History Museum of Utah to join the Road Home, where she could make a more significant impact on the lives of individuals facing challenges. In her personal time, she is an avid outdoor enthusiast—enjoying running, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and backpacking. Her co-workers and volunteers know her as Ms. Val, while her two-year-old grandchild affectionately calls her Gamma Wow. She is excited about the opportunity to share more about The Road Home, and her work as a volunteer coordinator, with Oasis.
