Trash the Dress at the PINK Lake

Join us for a surreal and stunning sunrise shoot at Utah’s famous Pink Lake. This will be a "Trash the Dress" concept, featuring models in flowing white gowns wading into the shimmering, bubblegum-pink waters as soft pastel skies paint the horizon.
Expect ethereal reflections, and that dreamy editorial vibe. Think: otherworldly beauty meets bridal drama. The shoot is designed for front-lit, glowing portraits with no harsh shadows—perfect pink tones and soft skies.
📸 What to expect:

• Models will be styled in bridal or light-colored dresses (some provided, some bringing their own).
• Some will lie in the shallow water or walk barefoot along the salt-crusted shoreline.
• Emphasis on creativity, movement, and capturing emotion within this unusual landscape.
• A true "fashion meets fine art" moment for your portfolio.

💬 This is a trade shoot organized by Salt Lake City Fashion Photoshoots. All photographers must provide images to the models and HMUAs within a reasonable timeframe.

#### How to Get to the Pink Lake at Stansbury Island, Utah

Stansbury Island is located about 40 miles west of Salt Lake City on the southwestern shore of the Great Salt Lake.
From Salt Lake City, take I-80 West for 36 miles then take Exit 84 towards Grantsville, SR-138. After 0.3 miles, turn left onto Salt Rd toward Grantsville, Stansbury Island.
You’ll continue on this road for about 15 miles until you reach the northern point of the island.

photographers who RSVP will just need to show up at 6:30am ready to shoot! I have planned everything for you! The models, and wardrobe! You may bring your lights if you would like.

While this shoot is for portfolio building and not a workshop learning experience, I will be there if you have any questions, or you can learn from your fellow photographers by watching them!

• TAGGING: Please tag all people involved in the photos on any social media! After the shoot I will update the info in the comment section with who did whos makeup and hair so that will make it easier for you to tag everyone! Please remember to tag the model, makeup artist, hair stylist, and @slcfashionphotoshoots
• Your collaborators will be able to use your photos for their own purposes, whether posting on their website or building their modeling portfolio and for social media

ADDITIONAL INFO*

-Please provide your own model releases if you must have them. Models have the right to refuse to sign anything.

• This Meetup does not do groups/rotations! I do not like to tell the photographers who they have to shoot with. You are free to shoot with anyone. You do not have to shoot the models you do not want to shoot.

-Please be friendly and courteous! While there will most likely be enough models to do one on ones just also expect to shoot the models with multiple photographers at once

• Do not touch the models before asking. No grabbing them or placing them where you want them. Ask them if it is ok to place them where you want them before doing so.
• No generators/ or cords that can trip people
