Sunday Sketch Crawl - Secret Garden

Let's get our Sunday sketch on! - Join us this Sunday to sit, sip, sketch, and soak up the sounds of some live music within this little hidden garden oasis. It won't be so secret after we've drawn it and shared our pics with the group.

If you haven't been here before, the Secret Garden is an extension of the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort. There's two ways to get there:

1. Park at the Bob Jones Trailhead and walk 1/4 mile to the entrance off the trail,
2. Or park at the resort main lot and walk across the green bridge across from the lobby building (when I stayed there recently they said they only check for plates of reserved guest overnight, so you should be safe for the aftn but don't quote me on that. Check with the hotel to confirm or park at your own risk).

Note: The earlier start time. There is a Live band starting at 3:00pm so it'll be nice to begin before they go on to have a bit of quiet, then slowly ramp up to a bit more energy. I've set the session time to 2.5 hours but feel free to stay as long as you'd like.

Also note: They have food and drinks for sale and do not allow outside food so please plan/budget accordingly.

Fine Print:
As usual, we'll do a quick 'meet n greet' to get to know each other (if you're new or catch or for the regulars) before getting started. We typically get two 45 min sketch sessions in - leaving us time in between and at the end to share as a group what you created and any details related to your unique process.

Things to consider before joining session:

• Skill level: All ages and abilities welcome. No sketching experience needed. This is a non-judgemental supportive environment that encourages you to express yourself however you want.
• Supplies: Be sure to bring a sketchbook and something to draw with. If you have those little 'alligator' binder clips, they help keep the pages blowing over in the wind.
• Sitting: We prioritize places with plenty of open seating but sometimes we sit wherever we can. If you have a folding chair or stool you'd like to bring you're more than welcome to. If you have any mobility considerations please let me know so we can factor that into the route/destination.
• Weather: Weather in SLO can change at the last min. Bring sunscreen, hat, or jacket as you see fit for protection from the elements.
• Photography: Session photos do get posted to the group event page after each session so please let us know if you don't want yourself or your art shared and we'll make sure to respect your request.
• Questions & RSVP: Reach out so I can answer them. If you can't make it, be sure to update your reservation in advance so I have a good idea of final head count for planning purposes.
