Sunday Sketch Crawl - High Bar @ Hotel SLO

Let's get our sketch on! Let's meet back up downtown at the 'High Bar' – Hotel San Luis Obispo's premiere rooftop bar. From here, we get a pretty sweet view of downtown and the surrounding hills to draw inspiration from (literally and figuratively). If you haven't joined us here in the past, you're in for a treat: Cerro San Luis and Bishops Peak to the north...Downtown to the south...pretty in all directions!

Parking Tip: There's a public garage across the street on Palm if that helps speed up finding a spot.

Fine print: Typically, we get two sketches in per event. Plan for about 30-40 mins per session – this gives us the ability to draw the same space from different angles or pick up and walk to another nearby spot to keep things fresh and interesting. Before, between, and after sessions, we'll do a quick group introduction/share of what we created - in order to support and inspire each other while reinforcing the communal aspects of the group.

Things to consider before joining session:

• Skill level: All ages and abilities welcome. No sketching experience needed. This is a non-judgemental supportive environment that encourages you to express yourself however you want. If you have any mobility considerations please let me know so we can factor that into the route/destination.
• Supplies: Be sure to bring a sketchbook and something to draw with. I'll have some extra pens and watercolor kits if anyone wants to experiment or forgets something.
• Sitting: We typically sit wherever we can. On the ground, a bench (if available), on a wall. If you need it, bring something like a towel or blanket to sit on if concerned about dirt or comfort.
• Weather: Bring a jacket as it cools off in the evening and or hat/sunscreen as we may be in direct sunlight for up to 45 mins at a time. If the weather gets real bad we can go indoors or reschedule.
• Questions & RSVP: Reach out so I can answer them. If you can't make it, be sure to update your reservation in advance so I have a good idea of final head count for planning purposes.
