(Last) Sunday Portrait Session @ Woodstock

Let's get our (people) sketch on! While we may not be able to meet at Bang the Drum, let's not let that stop us. Woodstock Pizza in downtown SLO has a large back/side room with plenty of seating for us to sit together so let's give it a shot.

For those that a new to drawing people, ie each each other - not only are people essential for scale in your sketches, but drawing the person across from you is also a great way to get to know them (or perhaps yourself) better through the process.

Parking Tip - There's free parking on Osos, 3 blocks away, right in front of Mitchell park. Easy walk to Woodstock.

Fine Print:
As usual, we'll do a quick 'meet n greet' to get to know each other (if you're new or catch or for the regulars) for a few mins. We'll start with a few short warm up exercises to get the ball rolling, then move into our two longer sessions.

Typically we can get two to three sketches in per event. Plan for about 25-40 mins per session. This gives us the ability to draw the same space from different angles or pick up and move to another nearby spot to keep things fresh and interesting. After each sketch session, we'll get back together as a group to share and discuss what we created.

Things to consider before joining session:

• Skill level: All ages and abilities welcome. No sketching experience needed. This is a non-judgemental supportive environment that encourages you to express yourself however you want. If you have any mobility considerations please let me know so we can factor that into the route/destination.
• Supplies: Be sure to bring a sketchbook and something to draw with. I'll have some extra pens and watercolor kits if anyone wants to experiment or forgets something.
• Sitting & Weather: We'll be inside for this one so we'll be good.
• Questions & RSVP: Reach out so I can answer them. If you can't make it, be sure to update your reservation in advance so I have a good idea of final head count for planning / seating purposes.
