This is one of my favorite loops in Montaña de Oro State Park and I recently got word that the brush and overgrown grasses on the trail have been cleared.
It’s a moderate loop with climbing, including a moderately strenuous section of around 15 switchbacks. The hike takes us through a riparian canyon and up through oak scrub. We’ll enjoy ocean views on the descent (fingers crossed there’s no fog!).
Perhaps some of us will decide to grab a bite and a drink afterwards at The Olde Alehouse, Beerwood, or the Merrimaker. I'm in! ;)
