SLO Women Hikers: A 40’s+ Social Hiking Group

Join us for an evening hike at the lovely Three Bridges Oak Preserve in Atascadero. This hike involves constant climbing all the way to the top; we'll take it easy on the way up and go at a relaxed pace so no one gets left behind.

I love this hike because it takes you through several different ecological zones, including riparian (riverside), oak woodland, and chaparral. At the top, we'll enjoy panoramic views of Atascadero.

There is limited parking at the trailhead, so I am limiting this hike to 8 people. There is limited overflow parking outside the trailhead gate.

Important Note: There is one creek crossing with no bridge at the start of the hike (see photo). There is still water in the creek, but there are stepping stones to get across. Bring hiking poles if you need help with balance as you cross the creek.

When: 5:45 (we will start walking promptly at 5:50)
Parking: Park in the paved lot near the trailhead entrance (see map)
Distance: 3.8 miles (total)
Elevation Gain: Around 650 feet
Terrain: Hilly oak woodland, double and single-track dirt trails
Dogs: Please leave your fur babies at home for this one, as some people may be allergic
Bathrooms: None
