Join us for a pretty hike in the Irish Hills: the Mariposa-King Trail loop. We will take the counterclockwise route, which starts with a climb through a lovely oak woodland and continues up to a ridge with views of the city and mountain peaks.

*Rain or muddy trail conditions cancel this hike; I will post an update the day of the event.*

Where: Meet on the street at the trailhead entrance gate (see map and photo on this page)
When: 4:10; we will start walking promptly at 4:15
Parking: Free street parking (always check signs for restrictions)
Pace: Casual
Terrain: Constant climbing for the first half of the hike on moderately steep terrain, with a few rocky sections
Distance: 2-mile loop
Bathrooms: None
Dogs: Please leave your fur babies at home, as some people may be allergic

What to Bring:

  • Sturdy shoes with good tread
  • Water
  • Light jacket
  • Camera
  • Hiking poles (optional)
  • Flashlight (we should be done before dark, but just in case)
