Johnson Ranch is stunning right now, lush and green but not overgrown. Let's take advantage of the ideal trail conditions and cooler weather this week and hike the western loop (around 2.3 miles) before the rain comes this weekend!

This is not a flat trail. It's a moderate hike with climbing in hilly terrain.

When: 5:45 (we will start walking promptly at 5:50)
Parking: Park in the dirt lot near the trailhead entrance.
Distance: 2.3 miles (total)
Elevation Gain: Around 350 feet
Terrain: Hilly oak woodland, single track trail
Dogs: Please leave your fur babies at home for this one, as some people may be allergic
Bathrooms: None

What to Bring:

  • Sturdy shoes
  • Water
  • Light jacket/layers
  • Camera
  • Hiking poles (optional)
