One of the most photographed views in the Rockies, The Three Sisters are probably recognized by more people driving along the Trans-Canada Highway than any of the other mountains in Alberta. They are also the peaks most associated with the community of Canmore, which has evolved from a railway siding and coal mining town to its current status as a thriving tourist related community.
Big Sister, the highest of the Three Sisters, was first climbed in 1887 by James J. McArthur.
Distance: ~7KM Return
Elevation Gain: ~1300M
Difficulty: S6 - If unsure what this means, please familiarize yourself.

We will be attending the group picnic at bow valley provincial park near Canmore after the hike.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, 403-975-5356
Real-time tracking while we're out, feel free to share with emergency contacts. Be aware this is not always 100% and authorities shouldn't be called because it misses a few updates.

Waivers: As per the new policy for waivers; I will bring the group waiver form with me to both the Calgary Meetup location and the trailhead. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this hike. You will also be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. You are fully aware that organizers are not professional guides and you assume all responsibility for your safety and well-being. You are fully prepared with proper gear and you're physically fit to do this hike with the group.
