DISTANCE: 16 km round trip
ELEVATION GAIN: 550m round trip
PACE: Moderate but will not be very slow. Probably take about 3.5 hrs to hike in as an idea for pace. A little faster on the return.

This trail winds through forests and willow flats near the Burstall Lakes then climbs steeply to alpine meadows and Burstall Pass. Generally nice views at the pass including some glaciers. There maybe some flowing water through the Willow Flats but generally it can dodged this time of the year. If you plan to drive, you'll need a Kananakis Conservation Pass.

Dress for breathability. We'll be working up a sweat during the climb. No Denim Clothing including Jeans. Make sure your footwear is suitable for trails. We'll stick together as a group. Stops for chats and photos. Bring a light lunch.

Required equipment:
- Bear Spray
- Rain layers
- Spare footwear and a Bag for muddy shoes
- Microspikes

Trip is weather dependent.

Total number of participants is dependant on number of drivers. If you are wanting to drive and carpool, please ensure you do not cancel or you may leave others without a ride.
If you need to carpool or can drive, indicate in your comments. Carpool from Chinook LRT parking. 9am. I can take 3.

A waiver is to be signed at the start. Will have a copy on hand then.
