Bike ride : Sheep River Falls(moderately difficult)

Details

🌲Trip Description
We did this ride last year — it was definitely a challenge with the elevation gain, but also a rewarding experience. We got to take in the beauty of the countryside and enjoy the waterfalls during our lunch break.
It starts in Turner Valley(Diamond valley) and follow Sunset boulevard west. It turns into Highway 546 : follow the signs to Sandy McNabb Campground. It’s about 35 kilometers to Sheep River Falls.
From the Sheep River Falls turnoff, it’s a 250 meters walk to the falls where there are some benches to relax at.
Please consider whether you're comfortable sharing the road with vehicles. Wind will also be a key factor, and I'll be monitoring the forecast closely.
If conditions are too windy, the ride will be cancelled — so please check for updates before heading out.
Also, if anyone is interested in a casual tailgate gathering after the ride, please bring something to share with fellow riders.
- Distance: about 70 km round trip
- Elevation gain: about 600 meters (there are a few steep hills !)
- Time on your tail: about 6hours but no promises.
- Group size: 6-8
🌲Suggestions,
1. We will cycle as a group within visibility of each other at all times.
2. In case of sudden situation, the person in front of you may stop, so please keep your distance from the person in front and back while riding your bicycle.
3. There may be people cycling in the other side lane, so please don't get too close to the center line.
