It is a requirement to read the following trip posting very carefully and to make the proper and responsible preparations for it. Failure to do so, will result in participant not allowed on this trip. A waiting list has automatically been created to determine this trip’s suitability for you as a potential participant. You must meet all the pre-requisites to be eligible to attend this trip. If the organizer deems it necessary to obtain additional information from you, please provide it, otherwise, you will remain on the waiting list. The waitlist is not on a first come first served basis. Participation is at the Organizer's discretion. As a potential participant, you must check this trip posting for additional directions from the organizer, including trip cancellation. PLEASE ANSWER ALL RSVP QUESTIONS OR YOU REMAIN ON WAITLIST. No kids, no dogs, no guests, NO SPEED DEMONS. THIS TRIP WILL BE WEATHER DEPENDENT. PLEASE CHECK THE POSTING THE MORNING OF THE EVENT.

THE TRIP IS NOT ON A FIRST-COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. RECENT HISTORY MEANS IN THE LAST 1-2 WEEKS NOT LAST YEAR!

At this point I will be only taking hikers who hiked with me before to avoid disappointments with no-shows, speed demons etc
If you can't hike at a slow pace with a group, please do not sign up.
if you need a ride please use message board to arrange it. THIS TRIP WILL BE WEATHER DEPENDENT. PLEASE CHECK THE POSTING THE MORNING OF THE EVENT. I HAVE NOT DONE THIS HIKE BEFORE, THIS IS AN EXPLORATORY EVENT!
We will be hiking at a SLOW PACE and as a group, if your primary goal is a workout and speed, please find another event. We will be hiking together enjoying each other's company and views. This is a moderate hike. No beginners.

We will have a cheese party at the scenic spot with the views celebrating Canada Day. Bring Canada flags or Canadian related attire. Please bring 50-100 g of your favorite cheese, pre-cut ready to eat. you are welcome to bring fruit or any appetizer of your choice. We will celebrate Canada day.

WE WILL MEET AT THE TRAIL HEAD, (elbow lake parking lot) IF YOU NEED A RIDE, PLEASE USE A SECTION BELOW TO ARRANGE IT. Gas fee contribution is 25$

THIS TRIP WILL BE WEATHER DEPENDENT. PLEASE CHECK THE POSTING THE MORNING OF THE EVENT.. the trail might be muddy the recent snow might be present. there is no recent trail reports, so be prepared.

Elevation Gain: +/- 700-900 m

Distance: 17-18 km

Time: 8-10 hours + driving time.

Technical and physical Difficulty: moderate, very steep sections. SLOW PACE! If you are a SPEED DEMON please find another event! We will be hiking with a pace of the slowest hiker. this trip is weather dependent, it is your responsibility to check for any updates or cancellation.

Required Gear: Hiking boots, poles, dress in layers and be prepared for rain, snow, wind or any drastic weather change. Bring lunch, at least 2 L of water, carpool money, personal first air kit

WAIVER: You must sign our club waiver before you are allowed to go on this trip and you shall arrive prepared with an emergency name and phone number to be recorded on the waiver. Organizer will have a group waiver for you to sign at the meetup location and/or the trailhead.
