Mount Allan (Or...) Full Moon/Sunrise Adventure

Details
***Group spread has become a big concern for me and in order to combat it my attendance limit going forward will be a max group of eight(or less), including me. I'm hopeful to reach people in recognizing how dangerous a practice this has become. I'm sure if you have not been directly involved on an event with someone getting separated from the group casuing a major delay, you have definitely heard stories of it happening. Someone lost is the least of the concern, which still has the potential to tax our overloaded SAR guys. It's just a matter of time before someone gets injured or worse, losing their life which has already happened to our beloved friend, Trina. If racing to the summit and back is the most important thing for you, please find an appropriate group to do that with, or organize trips yourself with capable, like minded people. And please stay together as one group when you do.***
If being in our majestic mountains, soaking up all the beauty nature has to offer us, creating great memories with awesome like minded people sounds good to you, please sign up and share your energy to getting the most out of our precious remaining life seconds!!!

Mount Allan (or...) : Full Moon/Sunrise Adventure
If you've never hiked with headlamp all night under a full moon to watch the sunrise on a summit, I don't know what to say, you've been missing out on a great way to spend precious remaining life seconds!!!
It looks like conditions are going to be good for the 11th, but it's still just over a week out, so we'll see. The trip will be canceled if conditions are cloudy, or plan B is to go up Sarrail Ridge if Allan is too windy.
Allan is 15k/1400m
Sarrail is 10k/900m
I've not tried Sarrail with a full moon trip yet, but I suspect it would be amazing in its own way... especially sunrise there.
With either destination these are the must haves...
-Fresh AND spare batteries for your headlamp.
- Stand around layers... it's going to be cold at either location, and we could be up there for a couple hours. Pack warm clothes, gloves, toque, thermos... maybe even a light blanket 🙃.
- Bug Dope
Let's go create an amazing new mountain memory!!!
Cheers,
Michael JC
