LAST MINUTE: Picklejar Lakes - T3

Details
Let's explore Picklejar Lakes. The hike begins from the Lantern Creek Day Use parking lot, near the south end of Highway 40. The trail ascends through the tree-line, alongside Lantern Creek, and onto the 1st of 4 "kettle" lakes. There is a flat "scree" exposure to the 1st lake after the trees. We will continue on to the rest of the lakes, stop for lunch, before returning back the way we came. A Kananaskis pass is required for this hike. This is not a first come first serve hike. Participation is at the discretion of the organizers. Please read the trail descriptions to determine if this is the hike for you. According to Alberta Parks, This trail is non-designated, not signed, not maintained and not regularly patrolled. The trail winds upwards through mixed forest and across open slopes. It then drops down to 4 alpine lakes.
