Ptarmigan Cirque Slow Pace

** I am recovering from a foot/ankle injury, so I am leading this easy hike at a slow pace. Absolutely no running ahead or rushing the group. Firm maximum of 12 participants. **

I would like to do a slow paced hike to Ptarmigan Cirque as I recover from an injury. The new parking lot is called the Highwood Meadows Day Use Area. We will meet there at 10am, ready to hike. We will be moving at 10:05pm, not waiting for latecomers, so please be on time.

The hike is 4.5km return to a small waterfall and back. We will have lunch at the waterfall. Elevation is only 210m.

There is on and off light rain in the forecast. Please bring a raincoat and good boots. This hike will go rain or shine (since it seems to be raining every day!). It will be cancelled the evening before if the forecast calls for heavy rain throughout the day.

If you choose to make your own carpooling plans once you are accepted on the hike. Recommended $20 gas fee. Drivers need a valid Kananaskis Park Pass. I can take one person from Cochrane or the Petro Canada at hwy 22 and 1.

There is a wait list for this event. I will take a maximum of 12 people on this hike.

All participants must sign at the trailhead agreeing to the Slow and Steady waiver and code of conduct. Please read them in advance.
