Bike Ride : from Highway 1A Banff - Lake Louise

Details
š²Trip description
Our ride originally planned for June 25th was unfortunately cancelled due to poor weather.
Weāre giving it another go on September 3rdāfingers crossed for sunshine and great conditions this time!
However, Iāve been told that Highway 1 from the Junction to Lake Louise has been much busier lately, with lots of travellers from other provinces, countries, and many campers.
Cheryl has kindly offered to take those who choose Option 2 back to Calgary from Johnston Canyon, while the rest could continue to Lake Louise. That said, Iād personally prefer if we could ride together as a group from start to finish.
So here are the optionsāyouāll need to pick one (please donāt say āeitherā š):
- Banff to Lake Louise ā over 100 km
- Banff to Johnston Canyon ā about 60 km
- Carpooling ā Will you be a driver or a passenger? This will help me organize rides, since some people are looking to share.
If the majority (around 70%) choose Option 2, I may have to shorten the trip, but letās see what everyone decides.
It will be a long day, so I kindly ask everyone to arrive 10 minutes early and be ready to drive out 7:30 sharp. Thanks for your cooperation!
š² Parking Advisory:
When you drive past Asso and turn right, youāll see a soccer fieldāthatās where free parking is available. If youāre not comfortable parking on the street, you can drive a little further and youāll find additional free parking near Valley Community Garden.
Suggest carpooling fee : $25+parking pass(bring it if you have)
Park Pass: Ensure you have a valid Parks Canada pass for parking within Banff National Park.
Wildlife Awareness: The area is home to various wildlife species. Carry bear spray and remain vigilant, especially during early morning or late evening rides.
