Last minute Arnica Lake - Relaxed Pace - max 8

Details

Fingers crossed, it looks like no rain on Sunday, so I'd like to do a relaxed pace hike to Arnica Lake (just past castle junction on hwy 93/BC side). I'm still recovering from a foot/ankle injury, so absolutely no running ahead.

It's a nice hike with a pretty lake, some hills. You should be an experienced hiker. This trail is not for beginners. If we're feeling energetic, we might continue to the twin lakes.

Distance: 9.3km (Arnica Lake return)
Elevation: 738m

Must bring:

Good hiking boots (and hiking socks)
Lunch and snacks
First aid kit and medications
Lots of water (+ electrolytes)
Layers for cool temperatures up to 26 degrees
Comfortable hiking backpack
Cash ($25) if carpooling

Recommended:

Poles
Microspikes (trail is muddy)
Hat
Map, Inreach, All Trails
Extra socks
Waterproof boots

I will accept a maximum of 8 participants. Priority goes to those who have hiked with me before. You can arrange carpooling once you have been accepted on the hike. Recommended gas fee, $25.

It's a long drive, so please plan ahead. It takes approximately 1 hour 45m (up to 2 hours) from the Shouldice Arena (good carpooling point). We will meet at 9:50am at the trailhead, do introductions at 10am, hiking at 10:05am. We are not waiting for late comers.

There is a wait list for this event. I will take a maximum of 8 people on this hike.

All participants must sign at the trailhead agreeing to the Slow and Steady waiver and code of conduct. Please read them in advance.
